Technique
- Stand on one side of a line or a low obstacle with the feet together and the knees slightly bent.
- Hop sideways over the line with both feet, using the ankles and a small knee bend.
- Land softly on the balls of the feet and immediately hop back.
- Keep the hops quick and low with short ground contacts.
- Continue for the set time or reps.
Cues
- Keep the contacts short and bouncy.
- Stay on the balls of the feet.
- Face forward and keep the chest tall.
Common mistakes
- Landing on the heels.
- Letting the knees wobble inward.
- Hopping higher than needed so the control drops.
