Technique
- Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and the arms bent at 90 degrees.
- Jog on the spot or forward, driving one knee up to hip height.
- Land on the ball of the foot and immediately drive the other knee up.
- Pump the arms opposite to the legs and keep the cadence fast.
- Continue for the set time or distance.

- Stay tall and keep the chest up.
- Lift the knees to hip height quickly.
- Land lightly on the forefoot.
Common mistakes
- Leaning back as the knees lift.
- Short, shuffling steps with the knees low.
- Landing on the heels.
