Technique
- Hang the suspension trainer from a secure anchor and hold the handles in front of you with the arms straight and the straps taut.
- Stand with the feet shoulder-width apart and the toes slightly out.
- Sit down and back into a deep squat, using the straps for balance.
- Keep the chest up and the weight on the whole foot.
- Drive up through the feet to stand, using the arms only as needed.
Cues
- Keep a little tension on the straps.
- Push the knees out in line with the toes.
- Use the straps to go deeper with good form.
Common mistakes
- Pulling with the arms to stand up.
- The knees caving in.
- The heels lifting.
- Rounding the back.
