Technique
- Sit on the floor with knees bent, feet flat, and the torso upright, arms crossed or reaching forward.
- Round the back slightly and tuck the chin.
- Lower the torso toward the floor as slowly as you can, about four to five seconds.
- Stop when the shoulders reach the floor, then use your hands or a quick roll to sit back up and repeat.
Cues
- Lower one vertebra at a time.
- Keep the abs tight all the way down.
Common mistakes
- Dropping the last part of the range.
- Flattening the back and leaning back like a plank.
