Technique
- Adjust the back pad so your knees line up with the machine's pivot point.
- Sit with the lower pad behind your ankles and lock the thigh pad down on your thighs.
- Curl your heels down and back as far as you can.
- Pause, then let the pad return slowly until your legs are nearly straight.
Cues
- Lean the torso slightly forward to stretch the hamstrings more.
- Keep the hips pressed into the seat.
- Control the return; do not let the stack drop.
Common mistakes
- Knees not aligned with the pivot.
- Lifting the hips off the seat to swing the weight.
- Using a short range of motion.
