## Technique

1. Attach a weight with a belt or hold a dumbbell between the feet, then take an underhand shoulder-width grip on the bar.
2. Hang with straight arms and shoulders pulled down.
3. Pull until your chin passes the bar, keeping the weight still.
4. Lower slowly to a full hang.

### Cues

- Add weight in small steps.
- Keep the legs still and the core tight.

### Common mistakes

- Swinging the weight.
- Adding load before you can do clean bodyweight reps.
- Cutting the range at the bottom.
