# Wall Angel

## Muscles

- Main: Serratus Anterior, Trapezius
- Helps: Deltoid, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, Rhomboids
- Holds: Erector Spinae, Rectus Abdominis

## Technique

1. Stand with your back, head and hips against a wall and your feet a short step away from it.
2. Raise your arms to the sides with elbows bent at 90 degrees and the backs of the arms against the wall.
3. Slide your arms up the wall into a Y shape, keeping contact with the wall as best you can.
4. Slide back down until the elbows are by your ribs.

### Cues

- Keep the lower back, head and ribs on the wall.
- Move slowly and only as high as you can with contact.
- Keep the shoulders down.

### Common mistakes

- Arching the lower back to get the arms up.
- Letting the arms or wrists leave the wall.
- Shrugging toward the ears.
