## Technique

1. Stand tall with your hands on your hips, or hold a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
2. Step forward and lower until both knees are about 90 degrees.
3. Push through the front foot and bring the back leg through into the next step.
4. Continue alternating legs.

### Cues

- Keep the torso upright.
- Take steps long enough to keep the front shin near vertical.

### Common mistakes

- Letting the front knee cave in.
- Taking steps that are too short.
- Slamming the back knee into the floor.
