- Main: Rectus Abdominis, Iliopsoas, Rectus Femoris
- Helps: Deltoid, Pectoralis Major, Transversus Abdominis, Triceps
- Holds: Serratus Anterior, Trapezius, Latissimus Dorsi, Quadratus Lumborum

## Technique

1. Place your hands beside your hips on the floor, on parallettes or on parallel bars, arms straight, and press your shoulders down away from your ears.
2. Lift your body off the floor, supporting yourself on locked arms.
3. Raise both legs straight out in front until they are parallel to the floor.
4. Hold with toes pointed and the chest tall.
5. Lower down under control.

### Cues

- Push down hard through the hands to keep your shoulders low.
- Squeeze the quads to keep the knees straight.
- Start with tucked knees if the full L is out of reach.

### Common mistakes

- Shrugging up into the ears.
- Letting the knees bend and the legs drop.
- Leaning back and rounding the shoulders to hold the position.
