## Technique

1. Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand, palms forward.
2. Shift your weight onto one foot and lift the other knee to hip height, or rest that foot against the standing ankle.
3. Find your balance, then curl both dumbbells to the shoulders.
4. Lower under control and switch the standing leg halfway through the set or on the next set.

### Cues

- Fix your gaze on a point ahead to hold balance.
- Keep the standing knee soft, not locked.

### Common mistakes

- Using a weight so heavy that you have to swing to keep balance.
- Letting the hips drop to one side.
- Rushing the reps.
