## Technique

1. Stand or sit holding a light dumbbell by one end in a neutral grip, with the other end pointing forward and the forearm resting on the thigh.
2. Let the front end of the dumbbell lower slightly toward the floor.
3. Raise the front end of the dumbbell up by tilting the wrist toward the thumb side.
4. Lower back slowly to the start.

### Cues

- Use a very light weight and a long lever.
- Keep the forearm still.

### Common mistakes

- Using a dumbbell that is too heavy for the small wrist muscles.
- Moving the elbow.
- Jerking at the bottom.
