## Technique

1. Lie on your back with both legs straight up above your hips and arms by your sides or under your hips.
2. Press the lower back gently into the floor and brace your abs.
3. Lower both legs slowly toward the floor, stopping where the lower back would start to arch.
4. Raise the legs back to vertical, keeping the lower back pressed down.

### Cues

- Stop lowering the moment the lower back lifts.
- Bend the knees if the range is too hard.

### Common mistakes

- Letting the lower back arch off the floor.
- Dropping the legs quickly.
- Holding the breath.
